How to recognize organic products - organic product logo
In 2007 the European Union (EU) announced plan to created unified labeling for all organic products, that will be used all around the union. First label designs were abandoned due to similarity to logos of private companies, for example German Aldi bio product labeling.
The logo production was put into open europe wide logo design contest. The voting was open to everyone on the contest website where about 130,000 Europeans voted and the winning labeling logo you can see here on this page.
Labeling of organic products is voluntary.
